The magical island of phuket in Thailand is often known, for very good reasons, as the pearl of the Andaman Sea. Phuket is one of the top holiday destinations not only in Thailand but Asia as well, and like all top tourist destinations has much to offer the visitor. Phuket has its very own international airport and this is how many overseas visitors arrive on the island. Other ways of visiting phuket is by bus from Hatyai or Bangkok. Phuket is also a favourite with cruising yachtsmen with the waters of Phang Na bay offering varied and safe cruising. Phuket is home to many international class marinas! The best time to visit phuket is during the period of the north eastern monsoon. November through to March finds perfect weather for holidaying, not to hot and humid. One of the best ways to explore the Island of phuket is to hire a car or motorbike. There are many car and motorbike rental places and hire prices are very competitive. The roads are safe and well sign posted in both English and Thai.
Phuket is well known for its clean beaches. The longest beach in phuket can be found in Karon village, with other smaller beaches at Patpong and Kata. For a family orientated holiday head out to Kata beach. This small village is home to Club Med. The beach is clean with only a few water sport activities. Accommodation is easy to find in Kata and a full range of hotels from the budget variety through to five stars can be booked. For a livelier holiday Patpong is the place to be! This ex Banana plantation has blossomed out in to a vibrant exciting village that never seems to sleep. After nightfall Patpong really comes alive with noisy packed bars, nightly Thai boxing matches, and for the foodies a huge selection of restaurants from all the countries of the world. Patpong night markets are legendary with bargains galore to be had. Phuket Thailand is one of the cheapest places in Asia to have a vacation. Go Thailand! Visit Phuket!

Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand is one the largest shopping hub in Asia. Also known as city of Angels or the Venice of the East; Bangkok is a major commercial center in South East Asia and a major tourist gateway, which means that a majority of foreign tourists visit Bangkok.. The city boasts of some of the country’s most visited historical venues such as the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun. It is one of Asia’s most cosmopolitan cities with beautiful temples, magnificient palaces, busy markets and a vibrant nightlife which has something to offer for everyone. It functions as Thailands spiritual, cultural, political, commercial, educational and diplomatic center.
The infrastructure of Bangkok is just fine and the city is well connected by air, road, ship and rail. The one thing which you should not miss while in Bangkok are the small and unique tuk-tuks. You may not necessarily love or hate them however you have to travel by tuk-tuks atleast once while you are in Bangkok, it’s an experience not worth missing.

The biggest attraction in Bangkok is shopping wherein you will find loads and loads to choose from. There are bags, clothes, shoes, jewelry, antiques etc all at unbelievable prices. It is a well known fact that everybody who visits Bangkok goes back with atleast 3 extra bags. MBK Center, Siam Center and Banglamphu Markets are a must visit for shopping. Thai food which is a major draw for foodies also is a big reason why people visit Bangkok. The street food is simply amazing. There are several half a day cookery classes conducted in several places so if you want to learn authentic Thai – this is the place.

Bangkok boasts of a wild nightlife for everyone. There are a majority of strip clubs and gay bars known for the lady boys or transverstite of Thailand . However Thailand is also perceived in a bad eye for its prostitution and child sex trade. Keep away from such places if you don’t want trouble. Rest of all the places in Bangkok will be an experience in themselves which you wont forget.
